This Privacy Policy governs the use of the mobile application BluFind (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) created by an independent developer. The Application is a specialized tool designed to scan, track, and analyze surrounding Bluetooth and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) devices in real-time.
BluFind is designed with user privacy in mind. The Application DOES NOT collect, harvest, store, or transmit any personal data, analytical signatures, hardware information, or telemetry to any external servers, third parties, or cloud infrastructures.
All processing of data happens completely locally and offline on your mobile device. Once the Application is closed, all temporary scanning caches are completely wiped from the device’s volatile memory.
To perform its core functions as a wireless networking terminal and radar, the Application requires specific system permissions. Below is an explicit declaration of how each permission is utilized strictly within the offline scope of your device:
android.permission.BLUETOOTH & android.permission.BLUETOOTH_ADMIN
Used to manage basic Bluetooth adapter states and initiate classic discovery cycles (Inquiry Mode) to identify legacy hardware platforms like laptops, Smart TVs, and classic peripherals.android.permission.BLUETOOTH_SCAN
Essential for operating the real-time BLE scanner. It enables the capture of raw advertising payloads, multi-channel service records, and RSSI metrics without establishing a constant connection.android.permission.BLUETOOTH_CONNECT
Required solely to execute the user-initiated connection commands (connectGatt and createBond) to evaluate target device accessibility and pair peripheral controllers.android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
In accordance with the official Android Operating System architecture, Bluetooth scanning operations can expose proximity markers that infer geographical location. Therefore, Android strictly enforces location permissions to allow the hardware chip to capture local radio frequencies.
BluFind does not read, log, or track your GPS coordinates. Location data is used strictly as an Android SDK requirement to unlock the Bluetooth hardware stack.
Since the Application operates fully autonomously without remote databases, there is no retention of your information on external storage. Any custom targets you select for radar monitoring or session packets populated inside the live traffic log terminal exist temporarily in the active RAM buffer and are permanently destroyed upon terminating the Application process.
We value your trust in using our tool, which is why the code compiles with advanced compiler shrinking and obfuscation rules (R8/ProGuard) to ensure the integrity of local processing and protect the device against security vulnerabilities and reverse engineering injections.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
If you have any questions or security audits regarding privacy while using the Application, please contact the developer via the official repository or support channels provided in the store listing.
